Ezycoat Pump Render
Ezycoat Pump Render is a premixed Pump coat consisting of a mixture of varied sized mineral extenders amalgamated with stabilised synthetic powders that allow this product to be mechanically applied using render pumps. The addition of additives based on Portland cement conforming to AS 3972 produces a levelling render with excellent adhesion and water resistant properties. Ezycoat Pump Render has been specially developed for use on external/internal surfaces that require a rendered finish. It provides an even and consistent sand finish when sponged, ready for subsequent paint and/or Texture finishes. Ezycoat Pump Render is suitable for use as a render or when mixed with Ezycoat Bond in the specified proportions, can be applied to a thickness of 2.5mm and will exhibit excellent adhesion and strength. Ezycoat Pump Render does not contain Lime, and as such makes it more compatible to Acrylic borne Paints and Texture finishes.
Description: With application methods becoming more advanced the raw materials need to also keep up with these changes. Ezycoat Pump Render is Machine friendly cement render. It allows for the increased speed in application on the more demanding and time driven projects. The installer can now have peace of mind knowing his product supply is compatible to his method of application and he won’t get let down.
Surface Application: Suitable for application to Clay Brick, Concrete Block, Polystyrene Cladding, Koolwall Panel * Refer to Technical Data Sheets (TDS). or Ezyspec for application procedures.
Mixing Procedure: Requires the addition of water only when applied as a full render, in some cases it may require the addition of Ezycoat Bond refer to TDS.
Application Method: Ezycoat Pump Render is by Pump Machine, Steel Trowel , ruled and then sponge finished for best results.

Ezycoat Pump Render is an easy to use single step trowel on and/or render pump apply able cement render which is suitable for leveling a range of masonry and cladded mediums(refer to Ezy BuildSpecs for the relevant building system). It will allow for the sequential application of architectural coatings such as Ezycoat Scratch/Sandstone. (See relevant Data Sheets on these products for additional information.) If this type of finish is not desired, then finishing Ezycoat Pump Render with a sponge float will produce a render like finish quite easily, ready for the subsequent paint application.
Before commencing application, ensure that the intended applied surface is free of any contaminants which may affect the performance of the render e.g. silicone coatings, curing oils and/or existing paint. Should this be the case then our office should be contacted for further advice on assessing the suitability of the surfaces to be coated. Ezycoat Pump Render must not be applied to fiber cement and/or existing painted surfaces. All surfaces must be structurally sound prior to the application of Ezycoat Pump-Render. A visual inspection will need to be carried out prior to application to access the suitability of the surface and method of application.
Ezycoat Pump Render should be applied at no less than 2.5mm in thickness, however not exceeding 5mm in any one application and must be mixed in accordance to Ezy BuildSpecs for the relevant product to which it is being applied to.
Manual Mixing Procedure
To mix Ezycoat Pump Render it is recommended that you use a clean empty 20L bucket to accept the volume of mixture from the 20kg Ezycoat Pump Render bag. Filling the bucket with approximately 2 litres of clean potable water and using a high speed mixing drill fitted with a paste mixing blade. The contents of the Ezycoat Pump Render bag should be slowly poured into the bucket whilst operating the mixer. This will be a safer and easier process with the assistance of another individual. As the Ezycoat Pump Render is poured into the bucket additional water may be required to produce a smooth workable paste. Normally a total of 3.5 to 4 litres of water may need to be added to each bag of Ezycoat Pump Render to achieve a good workable creamy paste. Do Not Add Excess Water. Once the Ezycoat Pump Render has been vigorously agitated and worked into a smooth compact paste it is ready for application. Using a Plasterer’s Hawk and steel trowel, the Ezycoat Pump Render paste can be scooped onto the Plasterer’s Hawk and in turn evenly spread onto the surface using the steel trowel.
Pump Mixing Procedure:
When using a pump for application, the Ezycoat Pump Render is ready to be poured directly into the hopper. It is essential that the pump specifications be checked prior to commencement of use as specifications may vary from pump manufacturers; if in doubt please contact our offices for further advice on pump requirements.
Should the applicating surface exhibit extreme suction that causes unusual quick drying out of the Ezycoat Pump Render it may be necessary to partially pre seal the walls using diluted Ezycoat Bond (Refer to Ezycoat Bond Technical Data Sheet). Should the applicating surface have varying undulations then 1 coat of Ezycoat Pump Render to specifications should be applied as a levelling coat prior to the application of Pump Render.
Once complete, the surface should be allowed to dry for approximately 48 hours prior to any subsequent Ezycoat Masonry Sealer or Membrane paint finish applications. This will assist the curing and strengthening process of the Ezycoat Pump Render. The render surface should not be left unpainted for any more than 14 days after the completion of rendering. Failure to do so may result in cracks forming in the surface.
The application of Ezycoat Pump Render should not be carried out in extremely hot and windy conditions. It is recommended that Ezycoat Pump Render application be carried out in shaded areas where possible. This will assist with ease of application.
Applicators should not apply large areas of Ezycoat Pump Render that they are unable to apply and finish within the Ezycoat Pump Render’s drying period.
Due to the many different proprietary building systems available on the market, it is highly recommended that you contact our offices and request a copy of the Ezycoat specification for the building system you are using.
