Premixed Super 6 Grey
Ezycoat Super 6 Render is a high quality pre-mixed Render designed for a thin section cement render application. It consists of finely graded quartz sand amalgamated with stabilised synthetic powders with the addition of polymer additives, based on Portland cement conforming to AS 3972. The addition of concentrated polymer and stabilised powders enhance performance and improve adhesion and application and provide water repellent properties. Ezycoat Super 6 Render provides a smoother finely textured sand finish which is normally reserved for scrub fine render finiaxhes. Ezycoat Super 6 does not require the addition of Ezycoat Bond finishes.

Description: Ezycoat Super 6 Render is a specialised highly polymer modified product specifically designed for very thin section applications and top coats. It is ideal for application over existing surfaces that require a scrub fine sand finish. It is ideal for topping of sills heads and reveal sections or just general patching up.

Mixing Procedure: Requires the addition of water only.
Application Method: Ezycoat Super6 Render is applied by Steel Trowel in very thin sections and then either lightly sponged to finish or finished off with a wet trowel.

Ezycoat Super 6 is an easy to use single step trowel on render finish. It is suitable for levelling a range of masonry and cladded mediums(refer to EzyBuildSpecs for proprietary building material surfaces treatments & application procedures for which Ezycoat Super 6 is recommended). It will allow for the sequential application of architectural coatings such as Ezycoat Scratch/Sandstone etc.. (See relevant Technical Data Sheets on these products for additional information.) If these type of finishes are not desirable, then finishing Ezycoat Super 6 Render with a sponge float will produce a render like finish quite easily, ready for the subsequent Ezycoat protective paint application.
Before commencing application, ensure that the intended applied surface is free of any contaminants which may affect the performance of the render e.g. silicone coatings, curing oils and/or existing paint. Should this not be the case then our office should be contacted for further advice on assessing the suitability of the surfaces to be coated. Ezycoat Super 6 must not be applied to fibre cement and/or existing painted surfaces. All surfaces must be structurally sound prior to the application of Ezycoat Super 6. A visual inspection will need to be carried out by the tradesperson and/or building contractor prior to commencement to ensure the suitability of the surface and determine the required method of application.
Ezycoat Super 6 is ideally suited for thin section applications of between 2mm minimum to 4mm maximum. Should the surface require additional thickness then that recommended then is recommended that an alternative product such as Ezycoat Skim, Pump or Traditional render be used as a first coat and Ezycoat Super 6 used as the final topping coat only. If in doubt then please contact our offices for further advise on a specification that will suit your situation. As documented Ezycoat Super 6 is not suitable for thick section applications exceeding 4mm and it is recommended that an alternative product form the Ezycoat render range be selected for use.
Manual Mixing Procedure
To mix Ezycoat Super 6 it is recommended that you use a clean empty 20L bucket to accept the volume of mixture from the 20kg Ezycoat Super 6 bag. Filling the bucket with approximately 2 litres of clean potable water and using a high speed mixing drill fitted with a paste mixing blade. The contents of the Ezycoat Super 6 bag should be slowly poured into the bucket whilst operating the mixer. This will be a safer and easier process with the assistance of another individual.
As the Ezycoat Super 6 is poured into the bucket additional water maybe required to produce a smooth workable paste. Normally a total of 3.5 to 4 litres of water may need to be added to each bag of Ezycoat Super 6 to achieve a good workable creamy paste. Do Not Add Excess Water as this will result in an unusable mix and could affect the final strength and integrity of the finished product.
Once the Ezycoat Super 6 has been vigorously agitated and worked into a smooth compact paste it is ready for application. Using a Plasterer’s Hawk and steel trowel, the Ezycoat Super 6 paste can be scooped onto the Plasterer’s Hawk and in turn evenly spread onto the surface using the steel trowel and finished accordingly.
Should the surface exhibit extreme suction that causes unusual quick drying of the Ezycoat Super 6 it may be necessary to pre seal the walls using diluted Ezycoat Bond (Refer to Ezycoat Bond Technical Data Sheet) Should the applicating surface have varying undulations then 1 coat of Ezycoat Skim, Pump or Traditional Render should be applied to specifications as levelling coat prior to the final finishing application of Super 6.
Once complete, the surface should be allowed to dry for approximately 48 hours prior to any subsequent Ezycoat Masonry Sealer and Ezycoat Membrane paint finish applications. This will assist the curing and strengthening process of the Ezycoat Super 6. It is essential that minimum time lapse occur between the application of the Ezycoat Super 6 and the application of the protective Ezycoat Membrane system. Typically no more than 14 Days should lapse between applications of Ezycoat Super 6 & Ezycoat Protective Paint System.
The application of Ezycoat Super 6 should not be carried out in extremely hot and windy conditions. It is recommended that Ezycoat Super 6 application be carried out in shaded areas where possible. This will assist with ease of application.
Applicators should not apply large areas of Ezycoat Super 6 that they are unable to apply and finish within the Ezycoat Super 6’s drying period. As this will be determined by weather conditions then the applicator should produce a test panel in order to determine the limitations with regards drying of the Ezycoat Super 6 for that day.
Due to the many different proprietary building systems available on the market, it is highly recommended that you contact our offices and request a copy of the Ezycoat specification for the building system you are using. |Important Notes:||Do not apply in temperatures below 10 degrees Celsius or 24 hrs prior to or after wet & rainy conditions. Do not apply in moist conditions. All walls must be free of moisture prior to application i.e., not exceed a WME of 15%. All surfaces should be cleaned and free of any contaminant, releasing agent, fungal growth which may affect the performance of these coatings. Any imperfections which may become visible in the finished surface should be
patched and levelled with Ezycoat Patching compounds. Any structural imperfections and/or cracks will need to stabilised prior to any further applications.The durability of the product in its original confection is guaranteed for 8months as long as it is not exposed to direct sunlight or temperatures below 6 degrees. EzycoatSuper 6 is not suitable for use in areas prone to water logging, submersion, continually damp and/or below ground. Walls were Ezycoat Super 6 is to be applied must be free draining. In the case of retaining walls the rear of the wall must be engineered to prevent any penetration of moisture or water through the wall in to the rear of the Ezycoat Super 6. Failure to do so will result in damage to the Ezycoat Super 6 and is not covered by warranty. Excess Waste product should be disposed of in responsible manner following guidelines as set out by the local council’s bi-laws and Waste Disposal Procedures.
